After just one hour of play, the field is already down to 12 players. The shortest-stacked Ron Oomen didn’t last long and was the first player to leave the room. Mozafforian’s story was more interesting.
He was fifth in chips coming into Day 2 of the Main Event, but the thing was… he didn’t come. According to the tournament rules, if the player doesn’t show up, their cards are dealt anyway and the points are distributed to the opponents if the player loses.
When Mozafforian finally showed up, he only saw his final chips collected by the other two players at the table. That’s what you call a short day at the tables.
